Calling a number in the PhoneBook
Youcan select a Phone Book entry and make
thecall.
1 PressFUNCTION to select
PHONEBOOK LIST.
PressFUNCTION until PHONE BOOK LIST ap-
pearsin the display.
Thecaller name stored in the Phone Book is
displayed.
#Ifcaller name has not been entered, phone
numberis displayed.
2 PushMULTI-CONTROL up or down to
selecta Phone Book entry you want to call.
Eachtime MULTI-CONTROL is pushed up or
down,Phone Book entries changes.
3 PushMULTI-CONTROL right to display
thegenre and phone number of the se-
lectedentry.
#Youcan switch between phone number and
callername by pressing DISPLAY.
#Youcan scroll the name and phone number
byholding DISPLAY.
#Ifyou want to go back and select another
entry,push MULTI-CONTROL left.
4 PressOFF HOOK to make a call.
Whilecalling, DIALLING is flashing.
5 PressON HOOK to end the call.
Theestimated call time appears in the display
(thismay differ slightly from the actual call
time).
Editing the name of a PhoneBook entry
Youcan edit the names of Phone Book entries.
Eachname can be up to 40 characters long.
1 PressFUNCTION to select
PHONEBOOK LIST.
PressFUNCTION until PHONE BOOK LIST ap-
pearsin the display.
Thecaller name stored in the Phone Book is
displayed.
#Ifcaller name has not been entered, phone
numberis displayed.
2 PushMULTI-CONTROL up or down to
selecta Phone Book entry.

3 PushMULTI-CONTROL right to display

4 Pushand hold MULTI-CONTROL right to
displaythe name input screen.
5 Pressbutton 1 and 6 to select thede-
siredcharacter type.
Pressingbutton 1enables you to switch char-
acterset between alphabet characters and
ISO8859-5(Russian characters) alternately.
Pressingbutton 6enables you to switch char-
acterset between ISO8859-1 (European char-
acters)and ISO8859-5 (Russian characters)
alternately.
#Europeancharacters and Russian characters
cantbe mixed.
#Thisunit can display Russian, but it is not
complete.For more details, see Russian character
charton page 71.
6 PushMULTI-CONTROL up or down to
selecta letter.
7 PushMULTI-CONTROL right to move
thecursor to the next character position.
Whenthe letter you want is displayed, push
MULTI-CONTROLright to move the cursor to
thenext position and then select the next let-
ter.Push MULTI-CONTROL left to move back-
wardsin the display.
