Showsthe function status.

PressFUNCTION repeatedly to switch be-
tweenthe following functions:
RPT(repeat play)RDM (random play)
SCAN(scan play)PAUSE (pause)COMP
(compressionand BMX)FF/REV (search
method)
#Toreturn to the playback display, press BAND.
Note
Ifyou do not operate the function within about 30
seconds,the display is automatically returned to
theplayback display.
Repeating play
Thereare two repeat play ranges for the built-
inCD player: RPT :DSC (disc repeat) and
RPT:TRK (one-track repeat).
1 PressFUNCTION to select RPT.
PressFUNCTION until RPT appears in the dis-
play.
2 PushMULTI-CONTROL left or right to
selectthe repeat range.
Thisswitches you to the selected setting.
!RPT:DSC Repeat the current disc
!RPT:TRK Repeat just the current track
Note
Ifyou perform track search or fastforward/re-
verseduring RPT :TRK,therepeat play range
changesto RPT :DSC.
Playing tracks in random order
Randomplay lets you play back tracks on the
CDin a random order.
1 PressFUNCTION to select RDM.
PressFUNCTION until RDM appears in the
display.
2 PushMULTI-CONTROL up to turn ran-
domplay on.
Trackswill play in a random order.
#Toturn random play off, push
MULTI-CONTROLdown.
Scanning tracks of a CD
Scanplay lets you hear the first 10 seconds of
eachtrack on the CD.
1 PressFUNCTION to select SCAN.
PressFUNCTION until SCAN appears in the
display.
2 PushMULTI-CONTROL up to turn scan
playon.
Thefirst 10 seconds of each track is played.
3 Whenyou find the desired track push
MULTI-CONTROLdown to turn scan play
off.
Thetrack will continue to play.
