IGMP SNOOPING COMMANDS

Command Usage

All systems on the subnet must support the same version. If there are legacy devices in your network that only support Version 1, you will also have to configure this switch to use Version 1.

Some commands are only enabled for IGMPv2, including ip igmp query-max-response-timeand ip igmp query-timeout.

Example

The following configures the switch to use IGMP Version 1:

Console(config)#ip igmp snooping version 1

Console(config)#

show ip igmp snooping

Use this command to show the IGMP snooping configuration.

Example

The following shows the current IGMP snooping configuration:

Console#show ip igmp snooping

Service status: Enabled

Querier status: Enabled

Query count: 2

Query interval: 125 sec

Query max response time: 10 sec

Query time-out: 300 sec

IGMP snooping version: Version 2

Console#

show bridge multicast

Use this command to show known multicast addresses.

show bridge bridge-groupmulticast [vlan vlan-id] [user igmp-snooping]
