Memory module

Before installing an additional memory module, carefully read “Before starting operation” on page 48 and proceed as follows:

1If the server is in operation, first shut it down and switch off the power supply to it.

2Unplug the power cable from the AC outlet.

NOTE: Installing a memory module while the server is still operational could cause damage to the server or the memory module.

3Remove the outer covers and server panels from the server. See “Removing and replacing the server panels” on page 54.

4Remove the power supply unit.

5Extend the hooks on both sides of the memory slot outwards.
