How the printer defines a page

Page orientation

There are two types of page orientations:

·Portrait

·Landscape.

A portrait page is taller than it is wide; a landscape page is wider than it is tall. Page orientation is determined by the orientation of the first font to appear on the page.

Font orientation

As shown below, there are two types of font orientations:

·Portrait

·Landscape.

Portrait orientation is initiated when you select a portrait font.

Landscape orientation is initiated when you select a landscape font.

You can print landscape and portrait text on the same page by using the command Print Job (Mixed Font Orientation).

Note: If mixed font orientations are used on the same printed page, the first font used determines the page orientation for the entire page.
