Page Length

Purpose The Page Length command determines the length of the text area in lines of text, which in turn defines the physical size of paper required. The top, left, and right margins are set to the defaults for the size of paper required. Automatic macro overlays are turned off, and any unprinted data is printed.

If paper in the size requested is not available in the paper tray(s), a message requesting the correct paper tray is displayed on the printer control panel.

If paper requested is available in one of the paper trays on a two- tray machine and the paper source is set to automatic, the correct tray is used automatically.

where # is the number of lines on the page based on the current line spacing. See tables 3-5 and 3-6 for the page length values applying to some standard paper sizes at six and eight lines per inch.
