Using the DRPDfunction

UsingDRPD

Followtheseproceduresto usethe DRPDfunction.

r Turn the AUTOlamp on

Whenthe AUTOlampis ONandthereis a call,the facsimilelistensto the ringpatternand determines whichof the ringpatternsis beingreceivedThe. facsimilemaytakeup to 10secondsin orderto determinethe signaltype,andduringthistime,the facsimiledoesnot ring.Accordingto the type of signal detected,oneof the followingoperationstakesplace.

FAX

lf the callingsignalis a facsimiletransmission,the facsimileis receivedwithoutringing.

TEL

lf the callingsignalis a telephonecall,pickup the handset.

Thedisplayreadingdependson how you havesetthe DRPDsettings.

. lf a usernamewas registeredfor the ringpattern,the usernameis displayed.

. lf a usernamewas not registered,thenthe registeredtelephonenumberis displayed.

. lf neithera usernameor telephonenumberaredis- played,the ring patternis displayed.

Afteryou pick up the handset,if you heara beepthat tellsyou the incomingcallis a facsimiletransmission, then press t-Sfil-TAl-r-/reOpl and hang up the handset to receivethe document.

lf no one answersthetelephone,the phonewill continueto ringuntilthe otherpartyhangsup.
