Pollingiswhenonefax requestsanotherto senda document.Pollingworkstwo ways. Yourfax can poll otherfaxesto receivedocuments,and yourfax in turn can be polledto senddocuments.Thisfeatureis usefulwhenthe partywho hasto sendthe documentis not in the office. The partythat wantsto receivethe documentdialsand pollsthe fax holdingthe original and requeststhatit be sent. In orderfor polling sendingand receivingto work,the pollinglDsof the faxesmust match.
