Beforesendinga document,checkand prepare documentsfor sendingby followingtheseguidelines.

. To preventa paperjam,do notfeedthe following types of paperintothe fax. lf you haveto senda documenton suchpaper,copyit firstthensendthe copythroughthe fax.

GICurledpapertr

vlTornpapera

Carbonor carbon-backed paper

Coatedpaper

Onionskinor thin paper

. Alldocumentstransmittedwithinthe samegroup shouldbe of the samewidthand paperthickness.

. Removeallclips,staplesand similarobjectsfrom documentsbeforefeedingthemintothe fax.

. Letinkor pasteon documentsdry completelybefore feedingthem intothe fax.

. The automaticdocumentfeeder(ADF)on the fax can feeda sheetof paperbetween0.003in. (0.08 mm)and0.005in.(0.13mm)thick. Do not usethe ADFfor thickerpaper,or if you haveto feeddocu- mentsof differentthickness.ln eithercase,makea copyof the originaldocumentandfeedthe copy.
