Front Panel De scription
The front panel of your residential gateway provides LED status indicators that
indicate how well and at what state yo ur resident ial gateway is opera ting. See Front
Panel LED Status Indicator Functions (on pa ge 102), for more information on front
panel L ED statu s indicator f unctions.

1 POWER—ON, power is app lied to the wireless residential gat eway
2 DS—ON, the wireless resid ential gat eway is receiving data from the ca ble
network
3 US—On, the wireless residential gateway is sending data to the cable net work
4 ONLINE—ON, the wireless residential ga teway is registered on the net work and
fully operat ional
5 ETHERNET 1 - 4—ON, a devic e is c onnected to one o f the Et hernet p orts.
BLINK ING indica tes tha t data is being tra nsferred over the Etherne t connect ion
6 USB—ON, a device is connected to the USB port. BLINKING indicates that data is
being transf erred over the USB connection
7 WIRELESS LINK—ON, the Wireless A ccess Point is operationa l. B LINKING
indicates that data is being tra nsferred over t he wireless connect ion. OFF indica tes
that t he wireless acces s point ha s been d isabled by t he user
8 WIRELESS SETUP—OFF (norma l condition) wireless setu p is not ac tive.
BLINKIN G indica tes t he user ha s activa ted wireless setup to a dd new wireles s
clients on the wireles s network
9 TEL1—ON indicates t elephony service is enabled. Blinks when line 1 is in use.
OFF indic ates tha t phone service for TEL 1 is not enabled
10 TEL2—ON indicates telep hony service is enabled. Blinks when line 2 is in use.
OFF indic ates tha t phone service for TEL 2 is not enabled
11 BATTERY—If a bat tery is inclu ded, this light illuminates whe n the bat tery is fully
charged
