automatically in the Internet Protocol (TCP/I P) Properties window, and then
click OK.

Configuring TC P/ IP on Mac intosh Sy stems
1 Click the Apple icon in t he upper-left corner of the Finder. Scroll down to
Control Panels, and then click TCP/IP.
2 Click Edit o n the Find er a t the t op of the pa ge. Scroll down to t he bottom of the
menu, and t hen cli ck Use r Mode .
3 Click Advanced in t he User Mode windo w, and t hen click OK.
4 Click the Up/Down selector arrows located to the right of the Connect Via
sectio n of t he TCP /IP wind ow, and t hen click Using DHCP Server.
5 Click Options in t he TC P/IP window, and then click Active in the T CP/IP
Optio ns window.
Note: Mak e sure that the Load only when needed option is unch ecked.
6 Verify that the Use 802.3 option loc ated in t he upper-ri ght corner of t he TCP/ IP
window is unchecked. If there is a check mark in the op tion, unchec k the opt ion,
and then clic k Info in the lower-left c orner.
7 Is there a Hardware Ad dress list ed in t his window?
If yes, click OK . To close the TCP/I P Control Panel windo w, clic k File, and
then scroll down to click Close. You have comp leted this procedure.
If no, you must power of f your Macintosh.
8 With the p ower off, sim ultaneou sly pres s and hold down the Command
(Apple), Option, P, and R keys on you r keyboard. K eeping those keys pressed
down, powe r on your Macint osh but do not release these keys u ntil you hear the
Apple chim e a t least three times , then release t he keys a nd let t he comput er
restart .
9 When your computer fully reboots, repeat steps 1 through 7 to verify that all
TCP/IP settings are correct. If your compu ter st ill does not have a Hard ware
