13Close the system. See "Closing the System" on page 80.
14Place the system upright on a flat surface.
15Reattach any peripherals and connect the system to an electrical outlet.
16Turn on the system and attached peripherals.
17Enter the System Setup program to confirm that the battery is operating properly. See "Entering the System Setup Program" on page 52.
18Enter the correct time and date in the System Setup program's Time and Date fields.
19Exit the System Setup program.

Removing the Chassis Intrusion Switch

1Turn off the system and attached peripherals, and disconnect the system from the electrical outlet and peripherals.
2Open the system. See "Opening the System" on page 79.
3Disconnect the chassis intrusion switch cable from the connector on the system board. See Figure
4Slide the chassis intrusion switch out of the securing bracket notch.
