11Place the system upright on a flat surface.

12Reattach any peripherals and connect the system to an electrical outlet.

13Turn on the system and attached peripherals.

14Test the drive by running system diagnostics (optional). See "Running the System Diagnostics" on page 147.

Power Supply

Removing a Power Supply

1Turn off the system and all attached peripherals.

2Disconnect the power cable from the power supply.

3Open the system. See "Opening the System" on page 79.

4Disconnect all cables from the power supply to the system board, hard drives and optical drive.

5Loosen the three screws securing the power supply to the chassis and lift the power supply to remove it from the chassis. See Figure 3-12.
