Installing the System Board

CAUTION: Many repairs may only be done by a certified service technician. You should only perform troubleshooting and simple repairs as authorized in your product documentation, or as directed by the online or telephone service and support team. Damage due to servicing that is not authorized by Dell is not covered by your warranty. Read and follow the safety instructions that came with the product.

1Unpack the new system board and remove the label that is located on the processor shield.

2Remove the labels and affix them on the front of the chassis.

3To replace the system board, grip the system board by holding the blue touch points.

4Align the screw holes on the system board with that on the chassis and lower the system board into the chassis.
