Tray 2 separation pad

Note

This procedure applies to Tray 2 and to any optional 250-sheet tray.

1Remove the paper from the tray.

Note

Callout 1 in figure 73 shows a detail of the separation pad.

2While pressing down the paper lift plate (callout 2), reach under the front of the tray and squeeze the black tabs (callout 3 in figure 74) to release the separation pad from the tray.

3Pull the spring off of the old separation pad, and then insert the spring onto the new separation pad.

4Replace the separation pad.
