Mac OS X installation

This section provides information about the various installation dialog-box sequences for the Mac OS X operating system.

Main Install dialog box sequence

NOTE: Turn on the power to the product and connect the USB cable between the product and the computer before inserting the HP LaserJet Professional P1100/P1560/P1600 Series Printer printing- system software CD in the CD-ROM drive.

1.Insert the HP LaserJet Professional P1100/P1560/P1600 Series Printer printing-system software CD in the CD-ROM drive.

NOTE: If the CD screen does not open automatically when the CD is put into the CD-ROM drive, double-click the CD-ROM icon on the desktop to open the installer folder.

2.The installer program opens.

NOTE: In the HP LaserJet installer browser screen, double-click the Documentation icon to gain access to the product manuals. Select a language folder and locate the available guides which are in .PDF format. The user guide is a .PDF file that is named LJP1100_use_enww.pdf or LJP1560_LJP1600_use_enww.pdf.
