PROBLEM

The VPS doe’s not operate.

l Dialing is not registered.

l Line disconnection occurs while transferring an outside call.

l Outside calls cannot be transferred.

lUnable to make outside calls.

lUnable to call an extension.

lUnable to access the mail box.

l Connected terminal (RS- 232C port) does not operate.

lUnable to make reconnection when the line is busy.

lUnable to make a no- response reconnection.

PROBABLE CAUSE

l Bad printed circuit board.

l Bad connection with PBX. l Card was inserted into the

wrong slot.

l Incomplete card insertion.

lA pulse phone is being used

by mistake.

l Improper setting of integration mode.

l Improper setting of the transfer sequence.

l Improper setting of the hooking time.

l Improper setting of the CPC signal.

l Improper setting of the outside call dial mode. l Improper setting of the

outside call dial procedure.

l Improper setting of extension numbering plan.

l Improper setting of the number of digits in the mailbox number.

l Improper connection.

l Improper setting of the parameter.

l Improper setting of the busy signal reconnection procedure.

*Improper setting of the no- response reconnection procedure.

POSSIBLE SOLUTION

l Change the printed circuit board.

l If the phone works properly when SLT is connected instead of the VPS, change the Port card. If the phone stil‘ fails to work properly, check the connection between the VPS and PBX.

l Insert the card firmly into the normal card slot.

l Insert the card firmly into the back board.

l Change to a touch-tone phone.

l Adjust the integration mode properly between the VPS and your PBX.

l Adjust the transfer sequence to that of the connected PBX and reset.

l Adjust the hooking time to that of the connected PBX and reset.

l Adjust the CPC signal to that of the connected PBX and reset.

.* Reset the outside call dial mode (tone/ pulse) properly.

lReset the outside line access sequence of the connected PBX.

l Adjust the extension numbering plan properly.

l Readjust the number of digits in the mailbox number.

l Connect the cable firmly.

l Adjust the terminal parameter to the VPS parameter. If the terminal still fails to operate properly, set to the desired parameter from the terminal.

l Readjust the busy signal reconnection procedure to that of the connected PBX.

*Readjust the no-response reconnection procedure to that of the connected PBX.
