SCSI Menu: |

SCSI IDs | Setting SCSI IDs is required for library operation. View the default |
| settings and change them if necessary. |
|
|
Emulation Mode | Setting an emulation mode is required if your application software |
| does not support a Plasmon V15. |
|
|
SCSI Parity | By default, parity checking is enabled. If desired, you can disable |
| parity checking for the library if the SCSI adapter card connected |
| to the library does not support parity checking. |
|
|
Configuration Menu: |
|
|
|
Baud Rate | Setting a baud rate is only required for communicating over the |
| serial port for firmware upgrades and diagnostics. You do not need |
| to set this option for normal library operations. |
|
|
Clean Slot | These three options allow you to set up automatic tape drive |
Autoclean | cleaning. |
Clean Cycles Left | Note: To use automatic cleaning, a cleaning cartridge must be |
| installed. |
|
|
POST Barcode Scan | If your software application does not automatically scan barcode |
| labels when the library powers up or when the door is opened and |
| closed, you can set this option so the library automatically scans |
| the labels. By default, this option is turned off when the library is |
| shipped. |
| Note: If your library does not include a barcode scanner, the LCD |
| shows “N/A” after the option. |

|
Verify Barcode | This option instructs the library to look for barcode labels with |
Checksums | checksum characters. If you plan to use barcode labels that |
| include checksum characters, you should enable this feature. By |
| default, this option is turned off when the library is shipped. |
| Note: If your library does not include a barcode scanner, the LCD |

Security Menu: |
|
|
|
Security | By setting security, you prevent unauthorized personnel from dis- |
| rupting the operation of the library through either the LCD keypad |
| or the SCSI bus. |
