Field |

Index: | Displays the element index for which the information is |
| being displayed. |
|
|
Type: | Indicates the type of element: either a cartridge slot, drive, |
| or robot. |
|
|
Warning: | Displays 0 if there are no failures or errors associated with |
| this element; or, displays an error code. See Appendix C for |
| a list of error codes and corrective actions. |
|
|
Occupied: | Indicates whether the specified element contains a cartridge |
| (1) or not (0). |
|
|
Valid: | Indicates whether the Occupied flag is accurate (1) or is |
| questionable (0). |
|
|
Accessible: | Indicates if the element is accessible (1) or not (0). If the ele- |
| ment is a magazine slot, it is accessible if the magazine is |
| installed. If the element is the tape drive, it is accessible if |
| the drive is installed in the drive bay and does not contain a |
| cartridge. |
|
|
Present: | Shows whether the tape drive or magazine is installed |
| (1) or not (0). |
| Note: If the element references a slot, this flag indicates |
| whether the magazine is installed. |
|
|
Label/Valid: | Indicates whether the Label field is valid (1) or not (0). |
|
|
Label Error: | Indicates if the barcode scan was successful (0) or displays |
| an error condition: |
| 60 – The barcode scanner could not read the barcode label |
| because there was no label on the cartridge. |
| 61 – The barcode scanner could not read the barcode label |
| because the label was unreadable. |
| 62 – The barcode scanner could not read the label because |
| the magazine is not present. |
| 63 – The barcode scanner could not read the label for a sin- |
| gle slot because the inventory is questionable. |
| 64 – The barcode scanner could not read the label because |
| of a problem with the checksum character. |
| 67 – The library could not collect barcode data for the fixed |
| slot because of a firmware or hardware problem. |
