6.Use the up or down arrow keys to indicate whether you want the tape drive used in the demo, then press [ENTER]. If you selected Yes, the following screen appears.

7.Use the up or down arrow keys to indicate whether you want cartridges loaded in the drive or just inserted into the drive opening during the demo. Press [ENTER}. An informational message displays, then the following screen appears.

8.Use the arrow keys to set the number of moves (the left and right arrow keys move across the columns; the up and down arrow keys change the numbers). Then press [ENTER].
The library begins the demo and displays status messages. If you want to abort a demo in progress, press [ESCAPE]. Press [ESCAPE] again to return to the Demo Menu.
Using the Command Menu
The Command Menu provides basic exercising functions for components in your library. Refer to the diagram in this chapter showing the element indexes. These numbers correspond to the library components and are necessary for some tests.
To perform diagnostic commands:
1.If necessary, disable security.
2.Change the control mode to LCD.
3.From the operator panel keypad, press [MENU] to display the menus. Press the down arrow key until “Command Menu” displays, as shown below.

4. Press [ENTER]. The LCD displays the first diagnostic test.
