power-updefaultsettingsbyusingtheElectronicDIPSwitch(EDS)mode.
Thischapterexplainshow touse the EDSmode.

HOW TO SET THE EDS MODE

TheEDSmodehas16kindsoffunctionsyoucansetas thepower-ondefault.
ToentertheEDSmode,turnthe printeronwhilesimultaneouslyholdingthe
(Pm ~, (PAPERFEED] and (ONLINE >buttons.
InEDS mode,the indicatorsandthe buttonsonthe controlpanelare used
asshown belowin Figure3-1.
●Usethe(-) buttonto selecttheBankNumber. Oneofthe FONTindi-
catorswillilluminateto showthe selectedBankNumber.
●Usethe(!)button to selecttheSwitchNumber.Oneof thePITCHin-
dicatorswillilluminateto showthe selectedSwitchNumber.
●TheQUIETindicatorshowsthe currentsetting.
Ifyou wantto set it ON, pressthe (.s,JAc#~cr)button.
●Pressthe(PAPER FEED]button to print outthe currentsettings.
●Pressthe( ONLINE 1buttontosavethenewsettingsandtoexittheEDS
mode.
