Ifyouprintfromthe DOScommandlevelveryoften,itwillbe advantageous
to.createaprintersetupfde.Then insteadofsettingfontetc.manuallyeach
time, you can completethe setup with asingle command from your
computer.Forexample,youcan createafilecontainingprintercommands
to selectnear letterquality,andselect elitepitchwith theStandardmode.

thesetupfile.Youmay ormaynotbeableto generateasetupfilewithword-
processingsoftware;it depends onwhether yoursoftwarelets you enter
controlcodes.Ifyour systemincludesthefileEDLIN.COM,however,you
caneasily createasetupfile withtheDOS lineeditor.
Anappropriatenameforthis setupfilewouldbe NLQELITE.DAT.Touse
theDOSlineeditor,typethecommandEDLINNLQELITE.DAT,thentype
theunderlinedpartsof thefollowingdisplay.PressRETURNat theendof
eachline.Don’ttype thesymbol“A”.Thissymbolmeansto holdtheCTRL
