SEITING UP

Placethe printerin the desiredlocation,and removeall packingmaterial

from insidethe top cover. This packingmaterial is intendedto prevent

darnagetotheprinterwhilein transit.Youwillwantto keepallthe packing

material,alongwiththeprintercarton,in caseyouhaveto movetheprinter

to anewlocation.

Mountingtheplaten knob

Theplatenknobis packedintoarecess ofthe whitefoampackingmaterial

whichheldyourprinterinsidethe carton.Besure toremovetheknob from

thepackaging.

Mounttheknob onthe platenshaft,which ison the right-handsideofthe

printer.Rotate theknob on the shaft before pushingthe knob fully into

position.

Installthe ribboncartridgeand the rollerunit

Removethetop coverbylifting upthe front(usingthe twogripson either

side),and pullingthecovertowards you(see Figure1-4).Now installthe

ribbon.(Ifyouwantto printwithblackonly,installthemonochromeribbon

cartridge,2X9.)
