Scanning strategies

When scanning documents, always try the default image processing settings first. Select the document type – Line, Photo, or Mixed/Custom and use the default settings for that type. These settings have been designed to give the optimum image quality for most documents.

If you have a special original type, you may want to try some of the advanced image processing features available on the Scanner. Table 2 on the next page describes the scanning strategies for special original types.
