Setting User-Selectable Features

Your machine has various user-selectable features. These features are preset at the factory, but you may need to change them. To find out how the features are currently set, print the System Data list. For more information on printing the list, see Printing Reports on page 3.63.

Setting a Feature

1Press the Setup button on the front panel. The display shows the first menu; “FAX NUMBER/NAME.”

2Press or until “SYSTEM SETUP” appears. Press the Start/Enter button. The display shows the first feature menu; “LANGUAGE.”

3Scroll through the features by pressing or repeatedly.

4When the feature you desire is displayed, press the Start/Enter button.

5Choose the desired status by pressing or repeatedly, or enter the desired value using the number keypad.

6Press the Start/Enter button to save the setting. The display changes to the next feature.

You can exit from system setup mode at any time by pressing the Stop button. The WorkCentre Pro 580 returns to Standby mode without saving the setting you just changed (unless you first pressed the Start/Enter button.)
