One-Touch Dialing

With One-Touch dialing you can store numbers in any of the 20 one-touch buttons to automatically dial a number with a single press of the corresponding button.

Storing a Number for One-Touch dialing

1Press and hold one of the 20 one-touch buttons for about 2 seconds. The display shows “Txx:”, where “xx” represents the selected one-touch button number.

If a number has already been programmed in the selected location, the display shows that number. To edit the number, see page 3.32.

If you press and hold a button used for group dialing, the display shows “GROUP ASSIGNED”, then prompts you to press another one-touch button.

2Enter the fax number you want to store by using the number keypad, then press the Start/Enter button.

To insert a pause between numbers, press the Redial/ Pause button; a ‘P’ appears on the display.

If you make a mistake while entering a number, press

or to select the digit and re-enter the correct number, or press the Search/Delete button to delete the digit.

3The display prompts you to assign a name. For information on how to enter names, see “Entering Alphanumeric Characters” on page 1.27.

Or, you can skip assigning a name.

4Press the Start/Enter button when the name appears correctly or without entering a name. The display prompts you to enter another one-touch number.
