4Check that the disk named in the box is the one on which you want to install CD-ROM software.

If not, click the Switch Disk button until the correct disk name appears.

This is the disk on which CD-ROM software will be installed.

The items in this illustration may not exactly match those on your screen.

Click to install on a different disk.

5 In the Installer dialog box, click Customize.

You see a list of items you can install.

Hold down the Shift key and click to select “CD-ROM System Software” and “QuickTime Software.”

Click Install.

The CD-ROM and QuickTime software are automatically installed and placed in the System Folder on your hard disk.

When you see a message reporting that installation was successful, click Restart.

Your CD-ROM drive will now operate normally. (If a message reports that installation was not successful, follow the instructions on the screen to try installing again.)
