
Connecting a microphone
Your computer has a sound input port, which you can use to connect a microphone. With appropriate software, you can use the microphone to give spoken commands to your Macintosh and to record your voice or other sounds.

The Apple AudioVision 14 Display has the Apple PlainTalk Microphone built in.
To connect the microphone:
mPlug the microphone’s connector into the sound input port (marked with the symbol X) on the back of the computer.
