Verifying the Running Configuration Settings

To check the running configuration settings or any changes made to settings before you save them, enter the show running-configcommand at the privileged EXEC mode prompt. For a Quad OC-3c/STM-1c POS interface installed in slot 1, the show running-configcommand typically displays output in the form shown in the example below. Depending on the image version of the Cisco IOS software running on your router and the way it is equipped, the results of your show running-configcommand might be different.
