NOPORT_2_TRANSFER_RATE_REQUESTED

Specifies the maximum data transfer rate the controllers use when communicating with the host. The transfer rate may need to be limited to accommodate long cables between the subsystem and the host system. Set the same transfer rate for both controllers in a dual-redundant configuration. When changed in a dual-redundant configuration, you must restart both controllers in order for the new setting to take effect. When changed in a single configuration, restart only the controller on which the new setting will take effect.

The controller must be restarted for any changes to the data transfer rate to take effect.

Table 5–6lists the maximum transfer rates for different lengths of fast and slow SCSI buses. These lengths represent cable lengths plus shelf-bus lengths.
