



Monitor: Monitor Recovery and Updates
















1Issue the following command, where serial_number is the board’s serial number, at the monitor prompt:
If the monitor recovers, skip to step 5. If moninit() fails, continue on to the next step.
2Perform the following tasks: Unprotect the Flash:
Erase the monitor region of soldered Flash:
Program the monitor into soldered Flash:
Corrupt the environment variables checksum to force defaults:
3Cycle power to the board.
4Reset the environment parameters. serial_number is the board’s serial number:
If moninit( ) fails, execute the following instruction:

5Power down the board and remove the jumper from JP2, pins 1 and 2.
Updating the Monitor via TFTP
To update the monitor, execute the following commands and insert the appropriate data in the italicized fields:
If necessary, edit your network settings:
Optionally, save your settings:
TFTP the new monitor (binary) image to memory location 0x100000:
Update the monitor:
