From Table 5•3,note that for a TCD, RANGE 2!( ) = 0 is suitable for virtually all applications since the entire linear output range of the detector is included. Likewise, RANGE 2!( ) settings from 0 through 5 cover the entire useful output range for an ECD. Only an FID or NPD may require use of the higher RANGE 2!( ) settings.
