error: db4 error(-30989) from dbcursor->c_get: DB_PAGE_NOTFOUND: Requested page not found

Cause

This is a known problem for RedHat Enterprise Linux version 3. A workaround is documented on the RedHat Web site as defect number 149974. For more details, see https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=149974.

Solution

Run the following command first, to remove the cache files where the page is not found:

The cache will be re-created as needed.

Run the rpm -qa command afterwards, to obtain a complete listing of installed packages on the RedHat Advanced Server, without returning errors.

Solution 1

Run the ibmdirctl command to check the status of the LDAP server. From LDAP_install_directory\appsrv\bin, run the ibmdirctl command using the following syntax:

ibmdirctl -D username -w password status

The returned value is ibmslapd process is running when the server is running. If the system does not confirm that the process is running, start the server.
