Overview

This chapter details a complete Unix setup including:

Configuring the Ethernet Interface with its mandatory TCP/IP settings (e.g., IP address and subnet mask).

Configuring the Unix host station with a new printer.

Unix Environment Description

The Ethernet Interface supports network printing under various TCP/IP environments including all variations of Unix. Printing can come from multiple hosts directly or through central spooling machines.
