iSeries: For this session, use the IP value from (step 4 above).

Device description: This is the name of the virtual device.

Auto connect:

If true (enabled) then queue and device automatically attach.

If not true (disabled) the command “tn dest dxprn start/stop” allows individual sessions to start or stop.

NOTE: Leave other values at their default descriptions.

Example of telnet session commands:

store tn dest d8prn iSeries 192.168.168.34 store tn dest d8prn devicedesc palletform store tn dest d8prn autoconnect

reset

This example creates a device/queue named “palletform” on the iSeries with IP 192.168.168.34. The Ethernet adapter initiates the connection each time it is reset or the printer power is cycled.
