4.3 Error Messages

Message	Corrective Action
	The printer does not have enough memory. You can print a status page to
Memory overflow
	check the current memory level.
Press GO
	Try adding more memory. Press the GO key to resume printing.
	You can cancel the print job by pressing the CANCEL key.
	If Auto Continue is on, printing will resume automatically after a preset
	amount of time. For details about Auto Continue, refer to 3.13.8 Auto Con-
	tinue Setting on page 3-62.
	A memory card error of the type indicated by the error code that appears in
MemoryCard err##
Press GO	place of ## has occurred. Refer to Storage error codes on page 4-11for
	information about error codes. To ignore the memory card disk error, press
	the GO key.

Missing chad box

The chad box is not installed correctly. Install the chad box correctly.

Missing duplex drawer

The duplex unit is not installed. Install the duplex unit.

Missing folding unit

The optional folding unit is not installed correctly. Install the optional fold- ing unit correctly.

Missing folding unit tray

The folding unit tray is not installed correctly. Install the folding unit tray correctly.

toner container

Color

Install the toner container of a toner kit for the color indicated in place of #. The printer will not operate while this message is displayed.

Missing waste toner box

The waste toner box is not installed. Install a waste toner box.

Paper jam

Replace toner C,M,Y,K

Replace toner Clean printer

Toner has run out in the indicated toner container(s). Replace the toner con- tainer using a new toner kit for the particular color. The printer will not oper- ate while these two messages are alternating on the display. For example, if Replace toner C,K is displayed, replace the cyan and the black toner containers.

Replace waste toner box

The waste toner box is almost full. Replace it.
