DESCRIPTION

The CM9700-CC1 is the central processing unit (CPU) of the 9760 system. All components of the 9760 system connect to and communicate with the CM9700-CC1.

The CM9700-CC1 runs under DOS 6.22. For a description of the DOS directory structure of the CM9700-CC1, refer to the Directory Structure section.

Note the following:

To ensure uninterrupted operation, a backup CM9700-CC1 can be added to a 9760 system by means of the CM9760-HS hot switch. For additional information, refer to the System 9760 CM9760-HS Hot Switch Installation/Operation manual.

The CM9700-CC1 can be networked by means of the CM9760-NW1 network interface unit (NIU). For additional information, refer to the System 9760 Networking Guide.
