The ETHERNET PARAMS menu helps your printer communicate on a network.

For information on assigning the IP Address, Gateway Address, Subnet Mask, and MAC Address, refer to Μετηοδσ Οφ Αδϕυστινγ Παπερ

Ποσιτιον ον παγε 170.

You may also enable or disable the Novell or NetBIOS Protocols within this menu, as well as selecting which Novell Frame scheme is used in processing Novell signals. See Chapter 11, “Novell Configuration” for more details.

If the printer is connected to the Remote Management Software (RMS), the RMS Port number and PPM Port Timeout settings must match the settings in the Remote Management Software program.

IP Address

A numeric address such as 123.45.61.23 which identifies a printer or server in a LAN or WAN.
