A – Command Line Interface Ping Command

Ping Command

Initiates an attempt to communicate with another switch over an Ethernet network and reports the result.

Authority None

Syntax ping

ip_address

Keywords ip_address

The IP address of the switch to query.

Examples The following is an example of a successful Ping command:

SANbox #> ping 10.20.11.57

Ping command issued. Waiting for response...

SANbox #>

Response successfully received from 10.20.11.57.

This following is an example of an unsuccessful Ping command:

SANbox #> ping 10.20.10.100
