Connecting to a Raytheon Autohelm System

The optimum way to connect Navigator to a Raytheon Autohelm system is to use the Direct SeaTalk Interface, Raymarine Part No. E85001 (Figure A-2). You can also use a Z290 SeaTalk-to-NMEA converter for this connection; however, keep in mind that not all SeaTalk features are supported by the Z290. Therefore, to ensure full communications, we recommend that you use the Direct SeaTalk Interface.
