Changing the Baud Rate

Overview

Each port can be configured for a baud in the range 50...19,200. Sixteen valid

 

bauds are user-selectable. The factory-set default is 9600 baud.

Note: If you use a baud rate lower than 4800, you should adjust the default delay parameter. See Changing the Delay on page 240.

Procedure

To change the baud parameter, perform the steps in the following table.

 

 

 

Step Action

1Place the cursor on the current Baud entry for the Modbus port you want to enter. Push <Enter>.

Result: A popup window appears in the top left corner of the screen displaying 16 baud values:

Use an arrow key to toggle the cursor onto the desired Baud selection in the popup window, then push <Enter>.

Result: The Port editor screen is updated with the Baud number you have specified, and the cursor moves to the Head-Slot column.
