Changing Parity

Introduction

From the Port editor screen, a port can be configured for even, odd, or no parity

 

 

checking. The factory-set default is EVEN parity.

Procedure

 

To change the parity parameter, perform the steps in the following table.

 

 

 

 

 

Step Action

1Place the cursor on the current Parity entry for the Modbus port you want to enter. Push <Enter>.

Result: A popup window appears in the top left corner of the screen displaying your three Parity options:

Use an arrow key to toggle the cursor onto the desired Parity selection in the popup window, then push <Enter>.

Result: The Port editor screen is updated with the Parity type you have specified, and the cursor moves to the Stop Bits column.
