A com group call overrides Forwarding and (on CBX Release 9006.2 and higher) Do Not Disturb mode. (See “Forwarding” on page 5–3 and “Do Not Disturb” on page 6–3.)

Community (Com) Group Speaker Call

Community (Com) Group Speaker Call lets you make a two-way call to the speaker of another telephone in your community (com) group by dialing a short code instead of an extension. If the party you are calling does not have a speakerphone, they must pick up the handset to answer.

This feature is much like the Two-Way Speaker Call feature, except that the party you are calling must be a member of your community (com) group. (See “Two-Way Speaker Call” on page 3–32.)

To make a com	➩	Press the Intercom (INTRCOM) key, or get a
group speaker		dial tone and dial * * 6.

	➩	Dial the member’s com code.
	➩	You will hear the confirmation tone. The other
		party’s telephone will beep twice.
	➩	Begin speaking. If the other party does not have
		a speakerphone, they must pick up the handset
		to answer. You and the other party will hear re-
		peated intrusion tones until they pick up the
		handset or you hang up.
