Tones, cont.	Intrusion tone followed	The party you called is on the
	by a ringing-beep tone	phone, but has received a call
		waiting indication. Stay on the
		phone until the party answers.

1. Introduction

Long tone, followed by an intrusion tone repeated every 8 secs.

1-sec. tone after dialing

Ringing (ringback) tone

Short tone every 20 sec.

Single (conference) tone

Steady high tone

3 short tones (confirma- tion tone)

3 short tones followed by dial tone

30-sec. tone after dialing

2 short tones every 20 secs.

Very short tone after dialing

Wavering (error) tone

Busy override and speaker call intrusion reminder

There is a short queue for an outgoing trunk.

The phone you called is ringing.

Internal call waiting

A new party has been added to a conference.

A technician is testing your phone.

A feature has been successfully activated.

Additional input, such as a PIN, is required.

There is a long queue for an outgoing trunk.

External call waiting

You have been routed to the next outgoing trunk or to a more expensive route.
