parity
Use this command to define generation of a parity bit. Use the no form to
restore the default setting.
Syntax
parity {none | even | odd}
no parity
none - No parity
even - Even parity
odd - Odd parity

Communication protocols provided by devices such as te rminals and
modems often require a specific parity bit setting.
Example
To specify no parity, enter this command:
speed
Use this command to set the terminal l ine’s baud rate. This command sets
both the transmit (to terminal) and receive (from terminal) speeds. Use the
no form to restore the default setting.
