Yourcamcorderautomaticallyfocusesforyou. (1) Removethelenscapbypressingbothknobs onitssidesandattachthelenscaptothegrip

strap.

(2) Installthepowersourceandinsertacassette. See“Step1”and“Step2”formore information(p.12to20).

(3) SetthePOWERswitchtoCAMERAwhile pressingthesmallgreenbutton.Your camcorderissettothestandbymode.

(4) OpentheLCDpanelwhilepressingOPEN. Theviewfinderautomaticallyturnsoff.

(5) PressSTART/STOP.Yourcamcorderstarts recording.TheRECindicatorappears.The camerarecordinglamplocatedonthefrontof yourcamcorderlightsup.Tostoprecording, pressSTART/STOPagain.

Therecordinglamplightsupinthe viewfinderwhenyourecordwiththe viewfinder.(DCR-TRV420E/TRV520E)
