100BASE-FX Port Cables

Warning: Fiber optic equipment can emit laser or infrared light that can injure your eyes. Never look into an optical ﬁber or connector port. Always assume that ﬁber optic cables are connected to a light source.

To connect the 100BASE-FX port cables, align the keyway on the cable plug with the key slot on the appropriate connector, then insert the cable plug into the ﬁber optic port connector (Figure 2-8).

After connecting the port cables, proceed to the next section, “Connecting Power,” to connect the AC power cord and power up the BayStack 350 switch.
