Backup Pend/Hold – (Primary DLCI only) A backup DLCI is attempting to be
located. Received data will be queued on the primary DLCI's queue.
Backup Pend/Discard – (Primary DLCI only) A backup DLCI is attempting to
be located. Received data will be discarded.
Displaying SDLC PU Status
To displ ay the status o f all PU s on an SNA port, pr ess [C] at the Protocol Status Dis-
plays Me n u. Wh e n prompte d, en t er:
RLP: Press [Enter], accepting the dafault (and only valid value) of 0.
Port: 0–7 for physical ports, 8–63 for logical ports. Valid numbers for physical
ports depend on the model of SmartSwitch 1800—see port locations on
page 6- 1.

Information in this Display:
Station Address – (specified when co nfiguring the SNA port) identifies the PU,
and must match the ADDR paramete r set in the macro PU in t he VTAM config-
uration. (The station address is usually set to C1 for point-to-point SDLC lines,
and in series C1, C2, C3 , etc. for multidrop lines.)
Name – PU name configured in the PU parameters in the SNA Port record.
State – will be one of these:
Active
Inactive
Never_Activated
Pending_Contact – waiting for Normal Response Mode
Node Name=node_xyz
