Configuring LLC2 Interfaces

LLC2 Interfaces records define the t ypes and locations of the interf aces that will carry

LLC2 traffic to or from a SmartSwitch 1800.

To display configured interfaces, press [C] at the IP/LLC2/BRIDGE.IPX Interfaces

These interfaces can be used for either LLC2 or Bridging. Also note that

the RLP column is irrelevant on the SmartSwitch 1800.

To configure an interface, press [D] at the LAN Inter faces Conf igurati on Men u. When

prompted for an inter face num ber (wh ich is mer ely a seq uenti al numb er to identif y th e

interface):

●If modifying an existing record, enter the interface number: 0–95.

●If creating a new record, press [Enter], which will automatically specify the next

available sequential interface number.

The display depends on the interface type. Examples are shown in the following two

figur es.
