Hardware Overview

Models

The SmartSwitch 1800 is available in several models, some of which support Voice

and data transmission, and some of which are data-only. T able 1-1 lists the models that

support Voice. At the time this User Gu ide went to press, model numbers had not been

created for the data-only models.

Each model of SmartSwitch 1800 includes:

●One V.35 DTE (male connector) cable for WAN port 2 or 3

●(Voice models only) Two RJ-45 (14 feet, 8-wire, cross-pinned) cables for the

Voice ports

●Cabling for connection to ASCII terminal, modem, and/or PC

●Installation and User Guides

Options include:

●V.35 DCE, RS-232 DTE, RS-232 DCE, RS-449 DCE, RS-449 DTE cables

●Integral CSU/DSU interface (replaces one serial port)

●Rackmount kit (19 in.)

●Maintenance Guide
